Halotherapy

Halotherapy (salt therapy) involves breathing in air with tiny salt particles to improve breathing. This is considered an alternative therapy. Common uses for this therapy include relaxation, respiratory conditions, cough, asthma, bronchitis, skin conditions, allergies, and more. This practice has been around since the 12th century in Europe.

Halotherapy can be passive or active. In passive salt rooms, people sit in a room filled with different types of salt. These rooms maintain controlled humidity and temperature. Passive rooms do not have a machine (halogenerator) to break down the salt like active salt rooms do. Halogenerators are machines to which salt is added. The machine then breaks the salt down into tiny particles that circulate around the room. Active salt rooms have a hight salt concentration than passive rooms. Passive rooms are most often used for relaxation and meditation.

Salt therapy has two types as well, dry or wet. Dry salt therapy is active halotherapy. Wet salt therapy involves bathing in salty water containing minerals, gargling or drinking salty water, or passing salty water through your nasal canal.

We have an active dry form of halotherapy available as well as a relaxation room with Himalayan salt block decor. This room can be used for either active halotherapy or relaxation and/or meditation.

Oxygen Bar/Aromatherapy

Our Oxygen Bar is designed by Air Heads and has room for 6 people to use it at the same time. People can sit or stand around the bar breathing in up to 90% oxygen and their choice of aromatherapy from a disposable nasal cannula.

The oxygen is produced by an oxygen concentrator which take the ambient air and separates out the nitrogen with a molecular filter, thereby concentrating the air into oxygen.

The oxygen tubing is hooked up through bottles that hold respiratory water and all natural, essential, therapeutic grade aromas. This not only delivers aromatherapy, but also humidifies the oxygen.
