Welcome to the Graceful Secrets Medspa & Wellness Center blog, Dandelion Wishes!

We decided to open Graceful Secrets Medspa & Wellness Center in order to offer a mixed model of complementary and alternative (CAM) and western medicine together with our medical spa services. We focus on wellness through holistic care, lifestyle medicine, natural remedies, pharmaceutical treatments, regenerative therapies, and anti-aging treatments. We offer medical weight loss treatments, IV vitamin and hydration, sexual health treatments, hair loss treatments and more. Our goal is to help our clients thrive, because wellness is NOT simply the absence of illness.

We are a medical spa.

There are 2 types of spas. Medical spas (medspas, medispas) and day spas.

Medical Spa:

The medical spa is a combination of a conventional spa establishment combined with a medical clinic. Licensed medical professionals run medical spas and offer aesthetic procedures, rejuvenating and regenerating treatments. Products used in medical spas are pharmaceutical grade. Treatments performed in medical spas vary, but might include: laser hair removal, laser facials, Botox, dermal filler, medium to deep chemical peels, microneedling at a deeper level than is allowed in day spas, PRP, body contouring, medical weight loss, and other treatments that a licensed medical provider with prescriptive authority has to oversee. An esthetician may work in a medical spa doing certain services, but they must have the oversight from a medical provider when using medical grade products. Due to the products used, the types of services offered, and the level of education of the provider, medical spas are generally more expensive than day spas.

Day Spa:

A traditional day spa is for rest and relaxation. These spas offer various types of massages, facials, pedicures, manicures, and more. Day spas help to calm clients while pampering them with their techniques. Day spas employ skilled, trained, and licensed practitioners of their crafts. Day spas do not need medical provider oversight. Day spas use cosmetic grade products. To confuse you even more, some day spas and hair salons now have contracts with nurse injectors to come in and offer select services such as Botox and dermal fillers.

We are a medical spa, but we do offer some crossover services as we have a cosmetologist/advanced esthetician starting in 2023. We also have a permanent makeup tattoo artist working with us. We are always on the look out for other independent contractors who do services such as massage therapy, acupuncture, and other services so that we can invite them to use our space in order to offer our clients a wide variety of services.
